The linen blazer. This one has a plaid lining so it’s cool when you roll it up. If there are ever any cool nights in NYC during the summer, a good piece to have.

The short sleeve dress shirt. This one has a gun flap, which keeps it interesting.

Short shorts. For those really hot days in the summer. I can’t pull them off but some can.

Khaki shawl collared vest. This looks good with a t-shirt or shirt underneath.

Menswear designer Hyden Yoo handpicks his favorite pieces from his summer ’09 collection.

Gen Art Fresh Faces alum Hyden Yoo started out by reinventing the button down shirt—a little more fitted, a little less droopy—and has since moved on to recreate the rest of the yuppie wardrobe. His cardigans, blazers and coats now outfit the hippest professionals in Manhattan and spiffiest slackers in Brooklyn. We asked him how to keep it cool (while looking sharp) in the summer months.
