Moon

Take one part Twilight Zone, one part 2001: A Space Odyssey, and throw Sam Rockwell in the center of it all with a Hal-like computer voiced by Kevin Spacey and you'll start to understand why we're so excited about Moon.  Rockwell plays the lone operator of a space station on the Moon, but with only three weeks left on his three year contract some funky stuff starts to go down.  We wouldn't dare reveal the many surprises along the way - but we will tell you that the film happens to be directed by Duncan Jones, David Bowie's son.  Now that's what we call a space oddity of the highest order. Moon is currently in theaters.

Dead Snow

So you say you've heard it all before.  A bunch of kids on their school break decide to go to a secluded spot for some debauchery and hijinks, and next thing you know they've got a bunch of zombies after them when all they wanted was a little sex (the kids, not the zombies).  But what if those zombies just happened to be dead Nazis? This campy horror romp from Norway is a fresh take on a classic genre. See for yourself. Dead Snow is currently in theaters.

Humpday

When a couple of guys get together and hatch a plan, there’s no turning back. Even when the plan happens to involve two heterosexual men making a homosexual porn for an amateur contest. Humpday puts an entirely new spin on the full monty, and then some. Keep an eye on the talent, bromancers Mark Duplass and Josh Leonard are the perfect on screen duo. Humpday opens on July 10th.

In The Loop

If you think your workplace is bad you should see what happens behind closed doors with an impending war in the balance.  In what has been referred to as "The Office meets The West Wing", this hilarious parody of bureaucratic war reminds us just how close to the brink we might be, and why we should be concerned (if we weren't laughing so much) *Added bonus:  See James Gandolfini back in a position of authority as Lt. General George Miller.  We may have lost Tony Soprano but this is a helluva replacement. In the Loop opens on July 24.

The best and brightest from Sundance 2009 are coming to a theater near you.
